What is Happines

Once upon a time, there was a small village nestled in a beautiful valley. The people of this village were hardworking and content. They lived in harmony with each other and their surroundings, and they were grateful for the blessings they had.

One day, a wealthy merchant passing through the village stopped to rest and saw the contentment of the people. He was amazed by how happy they were despite their simple lifestyle. He approached the village elder and asked, "How is it that your people are so content when they have so little? I have all the riches in the world, but I am not happy."

The village elder smiled and replied, "We have learned that true happiness comes from within. We have our families, our friends, and our community. We are grateful for what we have, and we do not waste our time and energy pursuing material possessions."

The wealthy merchant was struck by the wisdom of the elder's words. He realized that he had been chasing after happiness in all the wrong places. From that day forward, he changed his ways and focused on living a simpler, more content life.

Years later, the wealthy merchant returned to the village and presented the elder with a valuable gift as a token of his appreciation. But the elder refused the gift, saying, "We do not need material possessions to be happy. Your presence here is enough of a gift for us."

And so, the wealthy merchant learned the valuable lesson that true happiness comes from within, and he was grateful to the people of the village for showing him the way.
