The Strength of Cooperation
Once upon a time, in a far-off land, there was a small village nestled in a lush green valley. The villagers were hardworking, but they were also very close-knit and looked out for one another.
One day, a wise old man came to the village and gathered all the villagers around him. He told them that he had a special gift for them, but they would have to work together to receive it.
The gift was a large, heavy stone that the old man had found in the nearby mountains. The stone was too heavy for any one person to lift, but the old man knew that if the villagers worked together, they could move it.
The villagers were excited about the prospect of receiving this gift, so they gathered around the stone and tried to lift it. But no matter how hard they tried, they couldn't budge it.
The old man then suggested that they all hold hands and try again. This time, as they all worked together, the stone slowly began to move. The villagers were amazed as they watched the stone slowly inch forward, and they felt a sense of pride and accomplishment as they worked together to move it.
Finally, they managed to move the stone to a spot in the village square. The old man then told them that the gift was not the stone itself, but rather the lesson they had learned: that when they worked together, they could achieve great things.
From that day on, the villagers worked even harder to support and help one another. They had learned that they were stronger together than they were alone, and they never forgot the lesson that the old man had taught them.
And so the village prospered, and the people lived happily ever after
